July '26 Recap

I thought it might be fun to sit down and think about the previous month for self indulgence. Noting down important happenings for future me to recall, or to simply yap about hapenings that I otherwise would leave out for the most part. A closer glimpse as to who I am and what I do.

I'll aim to do these after every month!

First, obviously, I have no more wisdom teeth left! As of writing this, I'm still healing... The process for this tooth in particular has been exhausting, boring, and all round tedious to experience. And I won't lie, I do not envy anyone who has yet to go through the process themselves. For my previous three extractions, I was back to normal in two weeks. I'm not coming up on a month of healing for this last extraction, and the gum still hasn't closed LOL. However, my joy outweighs my negativity! Since this is the last wisdom tooth to go, it means I never have to sit through another extraction for the time being! And that is still something I celebrate... I'm free!!!
I've re-found two music playlists that I absolutely adore! I thought I had lost them forever omfg... The first is called the universe is and we are | a human playlist. and it makes me feel so much hope... A sense of yearning for a better future that instantly calms me and fills me with peace. c29uZ3MgZm9yIGdsb29teXMgZGF5cyA6Mw== is the second which translates to 'songs for gloomys days :3'. This one makes me feel all comfy and cozy... It helps me focus on work and keeps me productive! I'd recommend you check both of them out, since they carry different moods.
July was the month I started really getting back into fandom content! I left my previous fandom over burnout, though almost immediately found a new home to create content for. I don't feel right unless I'm creating art... But I took two months off to refocus and rebalance my life, and finished my first fanfic for my new fandom last month! I have already been posting fanart too which has gained traction—not that I care about popularity in the slightest. It's just fun to share and to talk with like-minded folk again.
I finally paid of my debt too! Well, not like legal debt LOL. My mom helped me pay for the cremation costs for my beloved pets, my lovely girls, and I finally managed to pay all of it back. It took me two months to do so but my mom is kind and patient, and I'm so thankful that she was willing to help me give my girls a proper place to rest. Soon, I'm going to purchase more little bottles to collect some of their ash in for display because I keep wanting to open their urn just to see them again... If I bottle some of them up though, I'll be abe to let them rest peacefully and still see them! I have bottles of their fur on display at the moment too, so having their ash bottled up will complete the small shrine I have for them I think. My mom wants one too, she cared for them like her own. I'll give her one when the bottles arrive!
I got a vaccine. It's one I should have had when I was around 12/13, but my dad at the time didn't give my school permission to give me the vaccine, and so even though my mom agreed to it, the school legally wasn't allowed to give me it. I called a few places now that I'm very much an adult and they confirmed that I was never given the vaccine just because my dad was an ass... Anyway, I'm successfully vaccinated now and my arm still hurts B-).

It has been a very slow, mostly empty month. Focused mostly on healing from my extraction, but I have gradually returned to my previous schedule and I'm starting to enjoy my life again LOL. Here's hoping that August has more fun moments! More social connections! More growth!
